ARA----------------------------Additional District and Session Judge X, Ara Civil Court Devanand Mishra awarded rigorous six years imprisonment to and also slapped a fine of Rs. 50,000 on Avinash Paswan of Gausganj locality near Gangi Bridge under Ara town police station in connection with keeping 196.5 grams of heroin.
Special Public Prosecutor, NDPD, Rana Pratap Singh said that the then police Inspector, Ara town police station, acting on a tip off, under the leadership of the Circle Officer (CO) had conducted raid at the house of Avinash Paswan at Gausganj near Gangi Bridge under Ara town police station on January 3, 2022 and seized 196.5 grams of heroin and Rs. 1.35 lakh in cash from there and also arrested Avinash Kumar.
After hearing both the parties, the ADJ X found Avinash Kumar guilty of keeping heroin and awarded rigorous six year imprisonment to him and also slapped a fine of Rs.50,000 on him under the provisions of NDPS.
